Blood Money - mixed media

from $950.00

This fine art photography piece, part of my African wildlife photography collection, features layered Kenyan shilling notes, symbolizing the illegal ivory trade. The title, "Blood Money," reflects the grim reality that poachers, represented by the bloodied hand, have blood on their hands due to their heinous actions. The raised hand also signifies a call to action: we must STOP the illegal ivory trade before humanity drives this magnificent species to extinction.

In the last three years alone, it is estimated that 100,000 African elephants have been slaughtered by poachers. Elephants, known for their complex social structures and remarkable intelligence, are being decimated for their ivory. This piece serves as both a stark reminder of the devastating impact of the ivory trade and a powerful plea for conservation efforts to protect these majestic creatures before it is too late.

  • All photos are signed limited edition prints - M 50 : L 25 : XL 15

  • Print sizes in the drop-down menu refer to the image size only

  • Each photograph has a 2-inch (5cm) white border surrounding the image

  • Need more info, head to Details & Frequently Asked Questions on the menu bar in INFO
